Watchlist

Overview

The Watchlist component allows you to access and analyze intraday and historical exchange market data for funds, indexes, single investments, lists, or screens.

Use the following column sets to view the data most relevant to your workflow:

Basic: overview of intraday price changes, including high, low, and volume traded

Fundamentals: volume traded, 52-week high and low, market cap, price/earnings, dividend information, as well as intraday changes

Returns: return data from one day to 15 years, as well as year-to-date

Index: intraday changes, as well as high and low prices, and

Commodities: intraday changes and expiration date.

Alternate Uses

You can easily compare funds and stocks by grouping them as follows

Morningstar Sectors (stocks only)

Morningstar Category (funds only)

Global Broad Category (funds only)

Investment Type (all), or

Morningstar Rating (all).

(Stocks only) From the Actions menu, you can generate a Morningstar Report for Stocks. In the Morningstar Report, you can access in-depth analysis and data such as the following:

Morningstar analysis of the stock

the stock’s Advanced Performance Chart, and

the stock’s current and historical data such as quote, valuation, and so on.

The Watchlist can broadcast a selected fund, index, or security to other components in the workbook. For instance, if you select a security in the U.S. Market Watchlist, other components in the workbook change their focus to that security.
