Return Growth

Overview

The Return Growth Component allows you to analyze an investment’s performance over custom periods. The Growth of $10,000 graph shows a fund's performance based on how $10,000 invested in the fund would have grown over time with dividends reinvested. The returns used in the graph are not load-adjusted. This component allows a benchmark comparison to be added, and displays the Morningstar index by default.

Morningstar Category Averages, other indexes or comparison funds can be applied, and Percentile Rank in Category. The period defaults to 10 years ago through last month end. If a shorter time period is used, it is because the fund or benchmark has an earlier inception date.

For capabilities common to most components, read the Components Overview.

Alternate Uses

Use the Component Settings icon to show a cumulative return, rather than the growth of $10,000. To compare a fund to other investments, use <CTRL>+click to select the name of other investments in the Grid View component.
