Holdings Comparison
Overview
By default, this component shows you the holdings of the selected fund (also known here as the “Subject” fund), and compares them to a benchmark. Note that you must have constituent rights to an index to see its values in the component. How do the holdings of the subject fund compare to the benchmark? Which holdings are underweight vs. overweight compared to the benchmark?
You can use <CTRL>+click to select the name(s) of additional investments in the Grid View component to broadcast them to this component. This allows you to compare the holdings of the subject fund in unique ways to peers.
For capabilities common to most components, read the Components Overview.
Alternate Uses
The Component Settings icon allows you to control which holdings you see here. Besides the default setting of seeing only the holdings of the subject fund, the Holdings Display setting allows you to see all holdings across all selected investments and the benchmark (answering the question, “Where are the gaps between these investments?”), those holdings unique to the subject fund alone (answering the question, “Which holdings are found only in the subject fund?”), or only those holdings held in common across all selected investments and the benchmark (answering the question, “Which holdings are owned by all of these investments?”).
