Correction to Portfolio Statistics
The March 2005 release of Principia Mutual Funds and Mutual Funds Advanced (with data as of 02-28-05) contained inaccurate portfolio statistics for a small subset of mutual funds. The subset consisted of funds which had both long and short positions in their portfolios. The data impacted includes broad portfolio statistics such as asset allocation, stock sector breakdowns, stock type breakdowns, stock stylebox breakdowns, and regional exposure values.
Patch fix0305.exe corrects these errors.
Monthly subscribers
We recommend that all monthly subscribers to Principia Mutual Funds and Mutual Funds Advanced download and install this patch. If you do not subscribe to Principia Mutual Funds or Mutual Funds Advanced you do not need to download and install this patch.
This patch is intended for those who subscribe to a single-user version of Principia or for administrators of network versions. If you are unsure which Principia license you have, launch Principia, click the Help menu, then click About Principia. The last line of the message box reads either Single User Version or Network Version.
To download and install the patch

Download the patch, and then choose to save the file to your hard disk. Note: This file (fix0305.exe) is 10.6 megabytes in size. |

Save the file fix0305.exe to a folder on your PC. Note the name and location of this folder. When download is complete, locate the file and double-click it. Follow the on-screen instructions. Do not cancel or exit the patch installation process until a message reading "Patch Update Completed Successfully" appears. This installation process should take 5 to 10 minutes on an average machine. |
