Corporate Action Data Added to Equity Deliveries

We are pleased to announce the following enhancements to our equity corporate actions data delivered via data feeds and Equity API:

1. Capital Repayment (“CR”)- This is return of capital, similar to a special dividend but it has different tax treatment. We are collecting it for all companies globally, but it typically is only used by companies in the United Kingdom. There will not be an adjustment made to historical price data and per share data, however, these are taken into consideration when calculating Total Return, similar to a Special Cash Dividend event.
2. Deleted corporate action records- We will add deliverables to help you monitor and update corrections to erroneous corporate action data, such as a different ex-date, throughout the month. You will no longer have to wait until the next monthly refresh to receive the new information. 
3. New Cash and Special Cash Dividend data points will be added as noted below. 

For data feed clients, the additional data will be delivered starting with the monthly files delivered in early July. An updated spec, definitions and appendix, along with a sample will be provided in the coming months unless noted.
